﷯Ned Brokaw Hotchkiss Class Of ’74 Ned's father, Bill Brokaw was responsible for introducing Dennis and Noel Velasquez to the Hotchkiss School in 1969 which is depicted in detail in "Chasing America". Ned and his brother, Blade both attended Hotchkiss with Dennis and have stayed in touch throughout the years. "Dennis built a bridge between us and he has been its glue ever since."

﷯Wayne R. Curtis  Hotchkiss Class of ’72 Classmate and friend of Dennis at the Hotchkiss School, Dr. Wayne R. Curtis has worked with two major bank investment houses, and a GSE structuring billions of dollars of transactions with bonds, debt and equity. Wayne is particularly proud of the creative debt product created for the public housing sector, which resulted in a commitment of over a billion dollars of leveraged financing for capital grant financing. Dr. Curtis is a graduate of Harvard University with honors, holds a Master in Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a PhD in Philosophy in Leadership and Change from Antioch University. He established Curtis Concepts LLC in 2007 focusing on public private partnerships as well as investment and financing.

﷯Erik Lazar Hotchkiss Class Of ’72 A classmate of Dennis’ from The Hotchkiss School, Erik got involved “because I could not NOT get involved in helping Dennis. He was a guy I did not know that closely but knew of very well in a way that even if you are on a different planet you are always aware of the sun. Dennis radiated towards everyone, and still does, and has touched a lot of people’s lives in a way that our efforts can only partially pay back.” Erik, originally from New York, is a graduate of Yale University and University of California, Hastings College of the law and has lived in Europe since 1990, where he heads a global business law firm and practices international business law in London.

﷯Rich O’Neill Hotchkiss Class of ’72 A very close friend of Dennis’ at the Hotchkiss School, Rich is President of Renaissance School Services, a national leader in the turnaround of failing public schools. Also a board member of Mass Insight Education, the leading research and policy group in the country addressing chronic state and district educational failure, funded by the Gates and Carnegie Foundations.

﷯Caroline Phipps Is a Holistic Health & Life Coach, Writer, Radio and TV contributor. She is Dennis' partner, and since June 2011, his principal caregiver. Currently she is working on her memoir “Earth School Ain’t for Sissies”.

﷯Tom Pyle Hotchkiss Class of ’71 For 20 years Tom Pyle worked at home and abroad in international and project finance with major banks like JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and Bank Austria. More recently he has worked in education and non-profit management. He currently works in psychiatric rehabilitation, assisting families navigate the maelstrom of mental illness and teaches future practitioners at Rutgers University. A member of the Hotchkiss Class of 1971, Tom received his BA from Princeton, MBA from Harvard, and MS from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Since their school days together he has followed Dennis’ career with interest.

﷯Rich Rosenbaum  Hotchkiss Class of ’73 Is President of Red Hydrant LLC, a video production company in New York. Rich is a veteran filmmaker and the recipient of numerous industry awards including the Cannes Lion. Rich was a schoolmate of Dennis and has been avidly following his career for the last 4 decades. He is on board to help in any way he can.

﷯Nina Rosenblum An Academy Award-nominated, award-winning producer, director and writer of documentaries, shorts and segments Nina has collaborated on ten films with Dennis and is President of Daedalus Productions, Inc., She has produced and directed for TBS, HBO, PBS, NY TIMES Television, SHOWTIME, ABC and NBC. Nina is a member of the Directors' Guild of America, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, NY Women in Film, the Independent Feature Project and the International Documentary Association.

﷯Timmy Hitchcock Is a longtime friend of Dennis and their mutual passion for music has been evident since meeting in 1971. They have supported each other’s victories and defeats throughout their 40+ years of friendship. Timmy appreciates everyone's interest in helping Dennis on his road to recovery. “Long may we run…”

﷯George Hubbard Hotchkiss Class of ’72 Is a Hotchkiss classmate and long time friend of Dennis’. He is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Algonquin Advisors, an investment advisory firm located in Greenwich, CT. “Dennis has the rare capacity to see the fault lines in conventional wisdom. Coupled with his innate ability to connect with people on a visceral level, he has been a force of change and an inspiration to those he has touched.”

﷯Calvin Watlington Hotchkiss Class of ’74 Is a member of the U.S. Foreign Service, attorney and children’s book writer. Most importantly he is Dennis’ brother and someone that truly knows the measure of the man. Calvin states, “Dennis has always been a primary source of inspiration for me and watching Dennis battle back from multiple strokes has magnified my admiration and pride.”
